I asked God if it was okay to refer to him as Her

And she said yes

I asked if it was okay to cry when I didn’t know why

or how to make things different

And she said it sure is, I do that all the time

I asked her if I could love more than one person at a time

And she said honey (she calls me that sometimes)

I want you to love every person you meet like that

And is it even okay if I don’t sit with church people

Looking for you in life outside their words instead

Sweetcakes, God said

Who knows where she picked that up

What I’m telling you is
